SMS Messaging Rules and Terms

The following rules and terms govern the use of SMS messaging services provided by the National Book Access Association (NBAA) in collaboration with First Book. By opting in to receive SMS messages from NBAA, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these rules and terms. If you do not agree with any part of these rules and terms, please do not opt in to receive SMS messages.

Opting In:

a. By providing your mobile number and opting in to receive SMS messages, you consent to receive text messages from NBAA related to book access, association updates, events, promotions, and other relevant information.

b. You must be 18 years of age or have obtained parental consent to opt in to receive SMS messages.

Message Frequency:

a. Message frequency may vary and is dependent on the number of updates and communications NBAA deems necessary to send.

b. You may receive recurring SMS messages from NBAA unless and until you opt out of the service.

Message Content:

a. SMS messages may include but are not limited to association updates, event invitations, promotional offers, volunteer opportunities, industry news, and relevant announcements.

b. NBAA reserves the right to modify the content and frequency of SMS messages at its discretion.

Message Delivery:

a. NBAA and its SMS service provider(s) will make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure timely delivery of SMS messages. However, NBAA does not guarantee the delivery or timeliness of SMS messages and shall not be held responsible for any delays or failures in message delivery.

b. Standard message and data rates may apply. Please check with your mobile service provider for details.

Opting Out:

a. To stop receiving SMS messages from NBAA, you can opt out at any time by replying to a received message with the keyword "STOP."

b. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from NBAA, but you may continue to receive non-SMS communications from NBAA based on your other communication preferences.

Privacy and Data Usage:

a. NBAA respects your privacy and will handle your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By opting in to receive SMS messages, you acknowledge and agree to the collection, use, and storage of your personal information for SMS messaging purposes.
